Jamie xx Releases “All You Children” ft. The Avalanches from Upcoming Album “In Waves”

Jamie xx has just released his latest track, “All You Children,” from his upcoming album, In Waves, set to be released on September 20th via Young. The track features a collaboration with The Avalanches, creating what has been described as “a swirling club anthem propelled by a hypnotic chorus of chants and Moroder-esque basslines.” This isn’t the first time Jamie has teamed up with The Avalanches, as he previously contributed to their 2020 album, We Will Always Love You.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Jamie xx shared, “The Avalanches have always been an inspiration for me. Their sample technique and how they piece together different sounds is incredible, and collaborating on a track with them has showed me new ways of making music.” The Avalanches also expressed their excitement over the release, stating, “We’re so excited about the release of this track with Jamie ‘All You Children.’ We hope you love it as much as we do.”
“All You Children” is the latest single released from In Waves, following the earlier tracks “Baddy On The Floor” with Honey Dijon and “Treat Each Other Right.” Jamie also recently collaborated with Robyn on the track “Life,” which marked Robyn’s first major release in six years.
Aside from his upcoming album release, Jamie xx recently completed a 10-night club residency in London, featuring guest appearances from various artists. He also teased every track from In Waves during the residency, including a live performance of the unreleased track “Dafodil” with guest vocalist John Glacier. Jamie’s festival appearances include performances at HARD Summer, III Points, Life Is Beautiful, and FORM, as well as headline shows in London and Mexico City.
