Oliver Heldens has had a busy summer, with multiple sets at renowned festivals and a continuous stream of releases under his two aliases. Recently, under his HI-LO moniker, Oliver made his return to Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label with his latest A/B side release, “CRESCENDO” and “OPEN YOUR MIND”. This marks HI-LO’s third offering on Drumcode, following last year’s “Rabbit Hole” collaboration with Layton Giordani and the 2021 release “Hypnos/Hera”.

Staying true to the HI-LO formula, “CRESCENDO” features a pounding kick drum, dark and vibey rhythm, and creeping synths. Oliver shares, “My intention was to create something hypnotic, dark, and trippy while still maintaining a melodic and groovy essence. Personally, ‘CRESCENDO’ is one of those tracks that I can listen to on repeat without getting tired of it. It has been incredibly exciting to witness the overwhelmingly positive response to the track during my HI-LO sets and in Adam’s sets at Time Warp in Germany and Brazil.”

Meanwhile, “OPEN YOUR MIND” is an energetic banger that will undoubtedly get you grooving to the beat. While it begins with the trademark HI-LO kick drum, the bassline and relentless beat truly take center stage in this track. Not surprisingly, it has become a staple in Oliver’s wider range of sets. Regardless of genre, “Open Your Mind” is undeniably a certified banger.

Regarding “OPEN YOUR MIND”, Oliver adds, “After months of road testing and fine-tuning, I am extremely excited about the final result. I’ve had a great time playing this track not only in my HI-LO sets but also in several mainstage sets as Oliver Heldens.”
