Sacred Bones Records Unveils ‘Push’ by Sextile and ‘Bound by Naked Skies’ by Lathe of Heaven

New York-based independent record label, Sacred Bones Records, is thrilled to announce two exciting releases: ‘Push’ by LA’s legendary Sextile and ‘Bound by Naked Skies’ by the New York punk band, Lathe of Heaven. These two releases only enhance the incredible catalog of the label, known for their diverse roster and quality releases.
Sextile’s album ‘Push’ is scheduled for release on September 15th and pre-orders are now open. The album will be available in various formats including a Sacred Bones mail-order exclusive blue and pink galaxy vinyl. Sextile, a force of the LA underground since 2015, are known for their raw-edged squall of a synth and the sharp-elbowed jerk of a guitar. ‘Push’, recorded in Yucca Valley, offers faster BPMs and new wild directions. Nods to the caustic post-punk of Sextile’s earlier work are still there, but with a smiley-faced revamp. You can pre-order ‘Push’ here.
Alongside ‘Push’, Sacred Bones Records also highlights the release of ‘Bound by Naked Skies’ by Lathe of Heaven. This band, known for their punk sound, has been causing a buzz in the New York music scene. The album is part of the 18th installment of the Sacred Bones Record Society. Enrollees will receive the album on society exclusive blue and red splatter vinyl, housed in a deluxe wrap-around, hand-numbered sleeve with a wax seal.
