PJ Harvey Announces Tour and Shares New Song “I Inside the Old I Dying” from Upcoming Album

English singer-songwriter PJ Harvey has unveiled her latest single “I Inside the Old I Dying” from her upcoming album “I Inside the Old Year Dying”. The track comes with an animated visual directed by Cristóbal León and Joaquín Cociña, who describe it as “a short story about love, death and resurrection”. The video is an excellent accompaniment to the song’s longing lyrics and melancholic melody.

In a statement, Harvey revealed that “This delicate and beautiful song eluded us until the very last day in the studio. Over the previous five weeks, we had tried so many times to capture it and failed, and/but then John [Parish] reinvented the feel of the guitar pattern. As he was demonstrating it in the control room, Flood handed me a microphone and pressed record whilst I sat next to John trying to work out how to sing to it.”

Along with the release of her latest single and upcoming album, Harvey has also announced a tour of the United Kingdom and Europe. The tour will commence on September 22 in Dublin, Ireland, at the 3Olympia Theatre, before wrapping up on October 31 in Oslo, Norway, at the Sentrum Scene.
