Leipzig’s enigmatic ensemble Flying Moon in Space presents their latest digital EP, ‘Zwei Remixes,’ now available for streaming. Comprised of reimagined tracks from their 2022 album ‘Zwei,’ the EP features remixes by a diverse array of artists including bdrmm, Zamilksa, Throw Down Bones, Gloria De Oliveira, and Elena Colombi.

Henrik Rhode of FMIS shares insights into the creative process behind the ‘Zwei Remixes’ EP, stating, “The creation process of the album already included various concepts of digital collaboration. Following the example of the children’s game ‘Telephone,’ tracks were passed on. The individual contributions were combined to form a new whole and the resulting songs were recorded and produced in a four-week recording session in a church. The fact that these songs have now been further developed by various musicians is the logical next step in a dynamic creation process.” Rhode expresses excitement about sharing the outstanding reworks crafted by Gloria de Oliveira, bdrmm, Elena Colombi, and Zamilska, noting the EP’s broad soundscape that traverses ambient, experimental, and dance music genres.

With ‘Zwei Remixes,’ Flying Moon in Space invites listeners on an eclectic sonic journey, showcasing the transformative power of collaboration and the boundless possibilities of musical reinterpretation.
