Today marks the highly anticipated release of crushed’s debut EP, “Extra Life,” on vinyl, accompanied by remixes from Real Lies and DJ Python. The EP serves as a nostalgic nod to ’90s radio, weaving a story that began with late-night transmissions on Bre Morell and Shaun Durkan’s respective radio shows. Their shared affinity for maximalist dream pop shines through on this collection, which ultimately caught the attention of Ghostly International. Now, fans can experience the EP in all its glory with the physical release on poisonbloom vinyl, available for shipping, and an expanded tracklist for streaming.

In addition to the vinyl release, crushed treats fans to the unveiling of their first official music video for the original version of “Waterlily.” Directed by Erynn Patrick, the video offers a glimpse into the band’s world as they navigate the streets of LA aboard a double-decker bus.

Reflecting on the creation of the music video, crushed shares, “For our first music video, we really hoped to capture the essence of our favorite ’90s pop videos that have inspired this project from the start. ‘Waterlily’ is a very sentimental song to us, and Erynn Lamont and her team did a beautiful job of bringing it to life.”

With the release of “Extra Life” on vinyl and the accompanying remixes, as well as the debut of the captivating “Waterlily” music video, crushed invites listeners on a journey through their sonic universe, filled with nostalgia, emotion, and infectious melodies.
