Conceived in 2019 by Odai Masri (also recognized as ODDZ) and Bint Mbareh, Exist Festival stands not just as a musical celebration but as a powerful platform challenging the status quo. Elevating Palestine’s underground music scene, the festival resolutely asserts itself as an ever-expanding collective of “siege-breakers.” In their mission, Exist does more than merely showcase talent; it acts as a beacon of solidarity for Palestinian artists grappling with injustice.

The festival’s journey started with a resounding premiere in Ramallah. Since then, its footprint has spanned the globe, gracing cities like Amman, Beirut, Athens, Oslo, and Berlin. This year, Londoners are in for a treat as Exist brings its unique blend of dance music, activism, and arts to their shores. Set to unfold over three vibrant days, this edition is poignantly dedicated to its co-founder, Odai, whose untimely demise in June has been deeply felt.

As September rolls in, Cafe OTO and The Yard will pulsate to the eclectic rhythms of Exist from the 8th. Attendees can look forward to an engrossing lineup featuring the prodigious talents of Maria Eichberg, Sami El Enany, jaar, Ali Hamdan, Kujo, Drew McDowall, Dirar Kalash, and Renata, among others. But the festival is more than its music; engaging talks and evocative screenings add depth to the experience.
