Fever Ray Releases New Moody Music Video for “North”

Fever Ray, the pseudonym for Swedish musician Karin Dreijer, has just released a new music video for their track “North.” The song is a slow and moody electronic track that leaves a lasting impression. Directed by Martin Falck, the video features Dreijer sitting in a snowy, mountainous landscape, perfectly complementing the atmospheric vibe of the song. In just six hours, the video has already garnered 12k views on Youtube.
“North” is taken from Fever Ray’s latest album, “Radical Romantics,” which was released in March. The album features collaborations with Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, adding an extra layer of depth to the already captivating sound of Fever Ray.
In addition to the new video, Fever Ray has announced a short world tour for 2023. The tour kicks off on August 17 at Paredes de Coura Festival in Portugal and concludes with a concert at Corona Capital in Mexico City on November 18. The tour includes stops in major cities like London, Paris, Denver, Austin, and Los Angeles. Notably, all the US shows will feature drag queen and musician Christeene as the opening act.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Dreijer discussed the songwriting process for “Radical Romantics.” They highlighted the mix of easy and difficult days that come with writing music. Dreijer emphasizes the importance of routines and continuous practice to overcome creative struggles and stay focused.
