Flume is set to perform at the Greek Theatre at U.C. Berkeley on September 8th, 2023. The Australian electronic musician, whose real name is Harley Edward Streten, began his journey in the music industry at a young age. At just eleven years old, he started experimenting with electronic music software that came with a box of cereal. Streten’s natural talent and dedication led him to be signed by Future Classic when he was only twenty years old. Shortly after his twenty-first birthday, he released his debut album, Flume, in 2012.
Throughout the 2010s, Flume continued to release groundbreaking and experimental dance music that resonated with audiences worldwide. His unique drops and collaborations with other artists made him one of the most acclaimed electronic musicians of his time. Notable tracks that gained him early recognition include remixes of Disclosure and Eliza Doolittle’s “You & Me” and Lorde’s “Tennis Courts”.
Following the success of his 2022 album, Palaces, Flume has released two projects this year, titled Things Don’t Always Go The Way You Plan and Arrived Anxious, Left Bored. On September 8th, he will be performing a mix of tracks at the Greek Theatre before heading to Colorado for two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. This Friday night show promises to be a brilliant outdoor event, hopefully blessed with pleasant September weather.
