Ghostly International, the renowned independent record label, announce an expansive reissue project for Emeralds’ landmark 2010 album, ‘Does it Look Like I’m Here?’. The reissue is slated for release on August 25th.

This announcement follows the reissue of Emeralds’ ‘Solar Bridge’ in 2022 and their first live set in over a decade at Primavera Sound 2023, underscoring the continuing relevance and influence of the Midwest drone trio’s work.

Originally released in 2010 on Peter Rehberg’s Editions Mego label, ‘Does it Look Like I’m Here?’ is considered one of Emeralds’ sharpest and most potent collections. Acclaimed by both noise aficionados and critics, it was hailed as ‘Best New Music’ by Pitchfork and later included in their ‘Best Albums of the 2010s’ list. The upcoming reissue, remastered by Heba Kadry, reaffirms the album’s immediacy and essential status in the music world.

The reissue will also include seven bonus tracks exclusive to the digital album and CD, with ‘Escape Wheel’ available for streaming today. The limited edition ectoplasm 2xLP includes a fold-out poster with extensive liner notes by Chris Madak, better known as Bee Mask. In addition, fans can look forward to cassette versions of the album.
