Hyperdub Presents: Lila Tirando a Violeta & Sin Maldita’s Spellbinding Collaboration ‘Accela’

Slated for an October 13th release, Lila Tirando a Violeta, the acclaimed Uruguayan producer whose 2022 album ‘Desire Path’ received widespread acclaim, collaborates with Berlin’s avant-garde pop sensation, Sin Maldita. His introductory album, ‘You’re Trouble’, made waves in November 2020 through his co-founded label ‘Unguarded’ alongside Philipp Hülsenbeck.
The Inspiration: ‘Accela’ takes its artistic cue from disparate elements – the ingenious sound design of the late 90’s cyberpunk anime, Lain, and the labyrinthine narratives of James Joyce’s ‘Finnegan’s Wake’. Venturing away from mainstream pop, the duo interprets Joyce’s idea of Idioglossia, a private language. They weave this concept throughout the EP, marking a dazzlingly unique chapter in their musical journeys and Hyperdub’s illustrious catalog.
Unique Merchandise: Both the cassette of ‘Accela’ and a pendant (a nod to the anime ‘Lain’) are available for pre-order on Bandcamp and Hyperdub’s official store. Additionally, fans purchasing the cassette will find it stocked in selected shops on its launch day.
Artistic Touch: Dario Alva (@cavecanems) provides the artwork, and the Layer22-created pendant exudes the cyberpunk ethos of the late ’90s, housed in a pill box alongside a tarot card.
