In the ever-evolving sphere of music, Maximono’s entrance was anything but ordinary. Birthed from an impulsive alliance between Nick and Sebi, the pair were kindred spirits, delving deep into the heartbeats of London’s diverse sonic realm. Their organic and uncharted journey not only won over the DJ fraternity but also placed them on the global map, echoing their unique rhythms across raves, festivals, and the unlikely setting of cruise ships.

Yet, every musical journey has its crescendos and rests. 2018 marked a poignant rest when Nick took a bow. Sebi found himself at a crossroads, balancing his software enterprise and preserving the soul of Maximono. For even as his individual creations continued to bloom, the heart of Maximono, inherently collaborative, seemed to beat a tad slower.

This phase of reflection has culminated in ‘The Outtakes’, a heartfelt anthology of twelve unreleased compositions that offer a window into their shared musical soul. An almanac of melodies and beats, it’s set to touch a chord with devotees around the world. And as if closing a circle, August promises a rhythmic resurrection on German streets. Hannover, the city where it all began, will witness Sebi join forces with Kyle Watson, rekindling the Maximono magic.

From their nascent days in the 90s, crafting intricate breakbeats and drum & bass textures, to their metamorphosis into the alluring realms of house – a transition acknowledged and lauded by industry giants such as Dirtybird – Maximono’s narrative has consistently defied the ordinary. Collaborative masterpieces with the likes of Malaa, Mat.Joe, and Marten Hørger birthed chart-toppers such as “Arsenic,” “Drummer Loco,” and “So High.”

With ‘The Outtakes’ marking a pivotal chapter in their odyssey, Maximono’s indelible mark on music stands as an ode to unbridled creativity and partnership.
