Mello Music Group proudly presents “Omakase”, the latest album in its esteemed compilation series. This new label collection brings together a rich tapestry of sounds, featuring artists such as Kamaal Williams, Chris Keys, Apollo Brown, Denmark Vessey, L’Orange, Namir Blade, and many more.
The concept of “Omakase” is borrowed from Japanese dining. It translates to “I’ll leave it up to you”, a phrase commonly used in sushi restaurants, allowing the chef to select the dishes. For Mello Music Group, it represents a musical adventure, entrusting listeners to the guidance of seasoned artists passionate about their craft. This curated collection has been two years in the making, building upon Mello’s initial foundation of Hip-Hop influenced by Jazz, Soul, R&B, and Funk.
This album serves as the label’s most encompassing, personal, and distinctive collection to date. A smorgasbord of sound that beckons: Trust in the experience. Embrace Omakase.
