Sault, a leading British music alliance, is set to release “Acts of Faith,” their eleventh studio album in 2025. As a collective known for their unique blend of R&B, gospel, house, and disco, Sault consistently places emphasis on issues central to the Black community. Their upcoming album, first teased at an exclusive London concert in 2023, is highly anticipated by fans and music critics alike.
The collective, led by the multi-talented songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Inflo, has built an impressive roster over the years. Creations by vocalists Cleo Sol, Kid Sister, and Chronixx form the group’s core aesthetics. This band has also seen collaborations with artists like Jack Peñate. Since its formation, the presence of Sault in the music scene has grown exponentially, resulting in an impressive discography of five studio albums in their first three years.
The unorthodox collective has always shown a proclivity for pushing the boundaries of R&B and showcasing Black identity. Their efforts culminated in the 2020 album “Untitled (Black Is)”, illuminating the Black experience through a meditative approach. Sault’s music practice does not conform to traditional music industry standards. In 2022, they shocked the music world by releasing five remarkable albums instantaneously, including “Air,” an orchestrated instrumental anthology.
Despite being actively involved in the music scene since 2019, the components of this London-based collective remain largely unknown. Inflo, alongside songwriters Cleo Sol, Kid Sister, and reggae musician Chronixx, however, are acknowledged as substantial contributors. Their vast music landscape spans from psychedelic funk, hip-hop, gospel, house, to disco, underlining their unparalleled versatility.
While 2022 was a fruitful year for Sault, their debut performance in November 2023, followed by international concerts in 2024 took their success to a new level. With “Acts of Faith” on the horizon in 2025, Sault is positioned to continue captivating the music world, offering their unique perspective on existential themes, faith, and the human condition.
