After nearly a decade since their last full-length album, Slum Village is making a triumphant return with their highly anticipated project titled “FUN.” Led by T3 and Young RJ, the rap duo has been hard at work in the studio, crafting a collection of tracks that stay true to the group’s legacy while infusing fresh energy and innovation.
Following the success of last year’s sold-out tour in Europe and the release of singles like “Just Like You” featuring Larry June and The Dramatics, anticipation for Slum Village’s new album has been steadily building. The recent release of “Request,” featuring Earlly Mac, offered a taste of what’s to come, with the announcement of “FUN” as the album’s title.
Now, Slum Village delights fans with the soulful new single “Factor,” featuring legendary soul singer/songwriter Eric Roberson and keyboardist Elijah Fox. This latest offering showcases the group’s ability to blend smooth melodies with infectious beats, setting the stage for an exciting album release.
“FUN” is slated to drop on April 19 via Ne’Astra Music/Virgin Music Group, promising a vibrant and dynamic listening experience. To celebrate the album’s release, Slum Village will embark on the FUN Since 92 Tour, kicking off on April 4 in Bologna, Italy. The tour will span 28 dates across Europe, offering fans the opportunity to experience Slum Village’s electrifying live performances.
Following their European tour, T3 and Young RJ will join SZA and Jack Harlow at the Gazebo Festival in Louisville, Kentucky, in May, further solidifying their status as hip-hop icons.
Stay tuned for more updates and mark your calendars for the release of “FUN” and Slum Village’s upcoming tour dates, as the legendary rap duo prepares to make a triumphant return to the spotlight.
