For fans, a limited edition half opaque yellow/half opaque pink vinyl variant is now available for pre-order. Hurry, as there are only 500 copies available.
Looking back on the album, co-vocalist Jordan Blilie reflects, “Listening to these songs twenty years later, I hear the sound of youth; of the world opening up. It’s unbridled, it’s overwhelming, and it’s relentless. None of it should’ve worked, and honestly, some of it doesn’t. But I’m proud of it for those exact reasons. That we stood there on the precipice, gazing into the unknown, and dove face first.”
Brooklyn Vegan previously recognized “…Burn, Piano Island, Burn” as one of the 15 albums that defined the 2000s post-hardcore boom, describing it as the most purely chaotic album on the list. The album showcased the band’s unique style, with co-vocalists Jordan Blilie and Johnny Whitney’s voices constantly intertwining and taking surprising turns. The production by Ross Robinson, known for his work with At the Drive-In, added to the album’s intense and energetic sound. The article also praised the band’s ability to incorporate quieter and prettier elements amidst the chaos, highlighting the album as a pivotal release in the post-hardcore genre.
You can stream the album below and order the exclusive vinyl variant from the BV shop. The tracklist for the album includes songs like “Guitarmy,” “Ambulance vs Ambulance,” and “Cecilia and the Silhouette Saloon.” The 7″ vinyl features “Ambulance vs Ambulance” on side A and “Pink Tarantulas” on side B.
