Renowned artist Verraco is making waves again, this time setting foot on the Voam imprint with his impending EP, ‘Escándaloo’. The Colombian DJ, producer, and TraTraTrax co-founder is set to unveil this three-track masterpiece on September 15, with fans already getting a taste through its lead single, ‘Escándaloo’.
Drawing inspiration from the rich textures of hardgroove, dembow, and UK soundsystem music, Verraco infuses his signature cutting-edge sound design, establishing his mark as a true innovator in the music scene.
Describing his own creation, Verraco shared on Instagram, “It’s a blend of what gets my blood boiling.” He further expanded, outlining the EP as a “forward-thinking vision” that delves into the “hybrid possibilities of techno.”
Gratitude was evident as Verraco praised Voam founders, Arthur and Jamie, known in the music scene as Pariah and Blawan respectively. “A thousand thanks to Arthur and Jamie for creating a platform that has stimulated me and helped push my own sonic boundaries. They’ve reconciled me with making dramatic dance-floor music again,” Verraco expressed, emphasizing the influential role the label played in his EP’s creation.
