Weekender Festival Announces Line-Up for Debut Edition in St Vith, Belgium

Weekender Festival: Belgium’s Newest Music Extravaganza

Belgium has always been one of Europe’s top music destinations, and this summer, it’s set to get even more exciting with the debut edition of the Weekender Festival. Organized by the team behind Weekender Festivall and ArsVitha, the event promises to showcase some of the best and latest sounds in alternative music. Scheduled to take place from 25-27 August, it will be spread across different venues in the picturesque town of St. Vith, Belgium.

From the program lineup, it’s easy to tell that the Weekender Festival will be something special. The festival boasts an eclectic mix of artists, from local acts to international stars. Confirmed to perform are MC Yallah, Debmaster, OJOO GYAL, Bar Italia, Maxine Denuc, HiTech, and many more. Artists who have already made a name for themselves, but are still pushing the boundaries with their craft.

Dan Nicholls, known for his exquisite solo performances and collaborations with such artists as Julian Sartorius and Louise Boer, is also expected to grace the stage. Accidental Meetings, a label and event series showcasing some of the most creative sounds coming out of Bristol, will have their multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Memotone play. The Accidental Meetings crew will also be doing DJ sets at the festival.

In addition to the international acts, the festival also features local artists from St. Vith and the surrounding areas. They include soFa Elsewhere and Melokan Fusion, among others. Revolte Kollektiv will present a club line-up, featuring DJ sets from Maxbar, Gedankentief, and Grazon b2gb Stinny, from the Belgian avant-rock group Aksak Maboul, Eera, The Pilotwings’ Jonquera, and German house music artists Lawrence and Isolée.

Even beyond the music, the festival experience has been amplified with amazing installations from Frédéric Le Junter and Lukas De Clerck. In collaboration with Vincent Caers, they’ve added yet another layer of entertainment to the festival by inviting festival-goers to explore the possibilities of the visual arts.
