Embarking on a musical journey spearheaded by the combined songwriting prowess of Emma Anderson and Miki Berenyi, Lush carved a niche in the 90s, seamlessly traversing the realms of shoegaze, dream pop, and Britpop. After their poignant hiatus in 1998 and a short-lived reformation in 2016, the digital age saw the rebirth of their music’s popularity. Yet, outside of a sumptuous 2016 Record Store Day boxset, these three masterpieces – Spooky (1992), Split (1994), and Lovelife (1996) – have remained elusive on vinyl since their 90s releases.
Teaming up with the illustrious Kevin Vanbergen, the band meticulously remastered their cherished albums. Relying on original ½” tapes, Kevin has infused new life into the recordings, crafting resplendent 24-bit masters that echo the original thrill.
For collectors, the US-based Bandbox store offers an enticing limited bundle: all three albums in distinct colors, accompanied by an exclusive fanzine dedicated to Lush.
