Planet Mu Announces: DJ Manny – “Hypnotized”

DJ Manny is back with his all-new album “Hypnotized”, set to release on 17th November. This will be his second outing on the Planet Mu label, arriving promptly after the much-praised “Control EP”. While his new project maintains the footwork standards of 160bpm, Manny stretches its boundaries with infectious new concepts. The album carries forward the romantic vibes of his previous “Signals In My Head”, infusing them with varied moods and musical hues.
Perhaps its closest kin in terms of groundbreaking footwork is DJ Rashad’s ‘Double Cup’, a project Manny had the honor of contributing to. “Hypnotized” cements Manny’s unique style, ranging from laid-back r’n’b to emotion-laden tracks like ‘WTF Goin On’ and ‘You N You (ft. DJ Phil)’. The album also carries some classic influences such as the dubstep tones in ‘Ooh Baby’ co-produced by DJ Rashad and the minimal techno vibe in ‘Want U Bad’ reminiscent of Robert Hood.
